Hi, my name is Kristen!

My journey into clean skincare began after the birth of my oldest daughter. After she was born, my skin changed and became very sensitive to fragrances and other ingredients in mainstream skincare products, so I took it upon myself to learn more about ingredients and decided to make my first soap bar. I was hooked. I even shared my soap bars with family and friends – they all loved the soap I made, and even said it helped with their acne and/or skin concerns.

Fast forward to the birth of my third baby – she was born with very sensitive skin and had eczema. I knew right away that we needed to be more conscious about the products we were using on her, so I decided to make her some soap to help with the rash – and it worked like a charm.

After realizing how much I loved creating clean products for my family and friends, I decided to take it a step further and open my own shop – Sincerely, Roots. The name actually came from the inspiration of wanting to create a sincere and honest brand that delivered clean and sustainable products to others. The word roots came from the idea that I wanted to take skincare back to the basics – the root. Skincare doesn’t have to be scary or complicated, and I have made it my mission to share how pure and simple it can be.
